Samantha is a current PhD candidate at CMU’s Robotics Institute, where she researchs educational robotics. Her dissertations work focuses on robotic design principles to enhance human-human collaboration. Throughout her academic journey, Samantha has worked on various projects at the intersection of robotics and education. Her past work includes developing robotic tools to assist in teaching emotion regulation and mathematics to preschool and elementary students. Currently, their research centers on fostering collaborative, interdisciplinary learning through a robotic loom kit that integrates weaving, mathematics, and engineering.
